“Northwest Landscapes" Exhibition

I will be the featured artist for May 2010 at the Crossroads Carnegie Art Center in Baker City, Oregon. There will be a reception at 5:30 to 8:00 P.M., the 7th of May and the paintings will be on exhibit until May 30th when the show will come down.

“Northwest Landscapes: A reflection on the paths I have walked and where I have wandered”, is a group of paintings with a wide focus that together reflect part of my experience living in the Pacific Northwest since 1972. Included in the show are compositions taken from “nature” painted en plein aire. There are also paintings that focus on urban environments and “agricultural themes”, as well as others that take as their subject the Oregon Coast and the inland waterways of Washington.

“Wetlands” Exhibition and Website

Spellman Library Gallery, Grays Harbor College Jan 25 – March 25, 2010.

This is an exhibition of seventy-nine original images by more than three dozen professional artists who have variously interpreted wetland areas and ecosystems from their direct experience. I have 2 oil paintings in the show which can be viewed under “artists” on the website. Link here to my page on the “Wetlands” website.

There will not be an "Art About Agriculture 2010."

The College of Agriculture at Oregon State University decided that, due to state budget reductions for Oregon higher education, there would be no state operating funds for the 2010 Art About Agriculture annual art competition and touring shows. However, the College is continuing to actively organize art exhibitions that celebrate the Art About Agriculture permanent collection.

Seattle Art Museum

I have been a SAMbassador volunteer at the Seattle Art Museum since January 2009. I also serve on the SAM Education Committee. I will be a part of the "Volunteer Art Show" that will hang at the museum for the month of May.
